Subdued Autumn Tree

In this particular design, I wanted to highlight the beauty of autumn foliage, but I wanted to use more subdued shades of colors rather than highly saturated colors. I chose a combination of four stained glass sheets (clear green, dark green, yellow and orange), two of them iridescent (i.e. they reflect a rainbow sheen when hit at an angle). I then chose a light blue glass for the sky that almost looks white, and calm pastel colors for the hills. This color combination will allow the design to add color to a room, but it also emanates a calm feeling. Finishing the design I added a second layer of stained glass foliage to give the design added depth.

DISPLAY: Because this design features translucent glass, it can be hung both transparent in a window or opaque on a wall. Because I'm unsure if the new owner will prefer wall vs window display, I will include hanging hardware for both so that you can choose for your own home. Alternatively, if you tell me how you intend to hang the design, I can install hanging hardware prior to shipping.

**Although stained glass mosaics resemble traditional stained glass, sanded grout is used in mosaics rather than lead, to connect the glass pieces. This, then, allows the viewer to enjoy stained glass without the concern of lead exposure.
